Makhana kheer

Ingredients
- 1/4 cup makhana (puffed lotus seeds/foxnuts)
- low-fat milk
- 3-4 dates chopped finely
- 2 tbsp chopped almonds
- 2 tbsp chopped pistachios
- 1 tbsp green cardamom powder
- 1/4 tbsp nutmeg powder
Instructions
- Dry roast 1/4th cup makhana (puffed lotus seeds/foxnuts) in a pan for a few minutes. After that, grind it coursely using a blender.
- Heat 1 litre of low-fat milk in a saucepan.
- Stir in 3-4 finely chopped dates.
- Pour in the coarsely crushed makhana.
- Bring the low-fat milk to a boil for 5-7 minutes, stirring regularly.
- To the milk, add 2 tbsp chopped almonds, 2 tbsp chopped pistachios, 1 tbsp green cardamom powder, and 1/4th tbsp nutmeg powder and continue to cook for a few minutes, stirring frequently, until creamy and somewhat thick.
