There are many tricks you can do to pinch and save. But you have to be careful on what exactly you're saving your money on.
Here really are a list of items I came up with that I thought would be beneficial to everyone. Hope it helps!
1. For starters, if you are much like me and you can't start your day without a cup of coffee then that's a-okay. Why not make the coffee in your own home rather than going out to buy it. Walmart has an inexpensive buy for ONLY $8.74 take a look here. Two times using it is the comparable of buying a Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks. The only difference is after two times using it you already got your money's worth.
2. Would you travel for your business? Why not bring a portable coffee maker for on the go? Trust me you will want this. I've one and I just love it. It's helpful particularly when you are taking long car trips and do not want to stop. Make the coffee in the am in the stainless steel cup it comes with- drink that. Then make yourself a different one and save it to have an “afternoon pick me up.”
3. Pack your Lunch! At nearly every single job I had since the time I was 14 years of age. I would see so many employees dipping into their pockets for a $5 or a $10 for supper and this would be a daily occurrence. You’d be amazed how quickly this can put you in debt. I knew this friend that would go out for coffee in the early morning, go out for lunch, and venture out for dinner. It never seemed like a lot of money to him until his accountant checked out his expenses and said, “Are you aware you simply spent $35,000 on eating at restaurants!” He had no idea and never only that- He was a new business. This is one of the biggest reasons to pack a lunch. Go to the store and invest in a small lunch box or cooler to maintain your food fresh for the duration of your day. You can even put your lunch inside a plastic bag- But just remember to pack non-perishables, it will really help with saving your money.
4. Don't drive around all over! Why not plan your day accordingly which means you kind of have an idea of what you are doing. For instances, why drive Half an hour to pick something at the store when you can leave it for a day whenever you will already be out and about. Makes sense and you will save gas this way. I don't know about you but I'm always driving in my car. So if I can limit the amount of time I spend driving around I sure will. (TIME=MONEY) Every minute you are wasting is a minute you could be doing something productive to make you the dough. Don't forget it. A good friend of mine taught me this lesson when I was just starting out my own business and I never forgot it.
